Welcome to
IFIC-VALENCIA ATLAS
The group participates in the operation and physics exploitation of the ATLAS experiment of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), being at the same time deeply involved in the R&D silicon detector developments towards the High Luminosity upgrade of the LHC.
RESEARCH
Our group plays a leading role in high precision studies of top quark and Higgs boson properties, as well as in searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.
We apply advanced machine learning techniques to particle physics analyses and to interdisciplinary problems such as seismic monitoring, environmental studies, and space weather prediction.
We provide a major fraction of the ATLAS computing resources in Spain and develop advanced solutions for distributed computing, simulation, and large scale data processing.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
We are strongly involved in the ATLAS upgrade program for the High Luminosity LHC, contributing to detector design, electronics development, and integration of new tracking and calorimeter systems.
We contribute to the construction, operation, calibration, and performance of key ATLAS detector systems, including tracking, calorimetry, trigger, and object reconstruction.
